Using your videos commercially
Last updated: 2 November 2026. Effective: 6 October 2026.
The short version: the videos are yours, on every plan, with no royalty to us. Built-in voices and our own music can be used commercially, stock footage follows its provider's licence, and a cloned voice is only ever yours. YouTube pays for faceless and AI videos that add something new. You are responsible for what you post.
The videos are yours
The videos you make with TallyReel, in the cloud or in Studio, are yours to use, and we claim no rights in them. You can post them on your own channels, put them on a client's page, run them as ads, or sell the finished video. There is no revenue share and no royalty to us.
One thing to know: in some countries, including the United States, work made mostly by AI may not get copyright protection of its own, so someone else could reuse it. Your own script, edits, voice and footage are what make a video clearly yours.
That is true on every plan. The free plan puts a small TallyReel mark on the video. Starter and above remove it, and add your own logo and start and end cards.
What goes into a video, and who it comes from
- The script. Written for your idea by AI, and you can read and change every line before anything is made. You are the author of the final text.
- The voice. The built-in voices can be used in your videos, including commercially. A voice cloned from your own recording is yours to use, and only yours. You confirm it is your own voice before it is made, and cloning anyone else’s voice breaks our rules.
- The pictures. Pictures TallyReel draws for you are yours to use. Real stock footage comes from Pexels, Pixabay and Coverr, under the Pexels license, Pixabay content license and Coverr license. Those allow commercial use in a video like yours. They do not allow reselling the clips on their own, or using a recognisable person in a way that suggests they back your product.
- The music. Music composed by TallyReel can be used in your videos, including commercially.
If you upload your own music, footage, photos or logos, they stay yours and you need the rights to them. That is in the terms and the acceptable use policy.
Will YouTube pay me for these videos?
YouTube does not stop paying channels because a video is faceless or made with AI. Its policy on inauthentic content, updated in July 2025, is aimed at mass-produced, repetitive uploads that add nothing new. Channels with their own point of view and varied videos are the ones that earn.
What helps your channel, whatever tool you use:
- Read and edit the script. Add a real opinion, a fact you checked, or a story that is yours.
- Vary the topic, the pictures and the voice from video to video. Do not post the same video with one word changed.
- If a video could pass as real people or real events, tick YouTube's altered or synthetic content label when you upload. TallyReel's videos are clearly made pictures and voices, but the label is your call.
- Check the facts in any AI-written script before you post it.
Read the current rules on YouTube's monetization policies, since they change. TikTok and Instagram also ask you to label realistic AI-made content.
Where to be careful
- Real people. Do not make a video that shows or sounds like a real person without their permission. If someone made one of you, you can report it.
- Brands and characters. Your own characters are fine. Anything that looks or sounds like a famous character, its logo or its song is not.
- Facts. A script can be wrong. Medical, legal and money claims need your own check before you post them.
- Ads and sponsors. If you are paid to show something, say so on the video, as your network and local law require.
You are responsible for what you post. This page explains how TallyReel works and is not legal advice. If a big client or a lot of money depends on a rule, ask a lawyer in your country.
Making videos for clients
Yes, you can make videos for clients and charge for them. Agencies and freelancers do this on Plus and Pro. The video you deliver is yours to hand over, the same as any other.
Do not share your login, and keep each client's own accounts connected to the right channel. Every plan includes team seats if you work with other people.
Something this does not cover
Write to support@tallyreel.com with the video and what you plan to do with it. We answer in plain words.
