A Blotato alternative that makes the whole video
Blotato is a content engine. TallyReel is a video maker that posts.
Short answer: It depends on what you post. If your channel is faceless videos (stories, skits, quizzes, AI hosts), TallyReel is a good Blotato alternative with a free plan, a $19 entry price and 15 networks. If you repurpose YouTube videos, articles and PDFs into carousels, threads and posts across 20 or more accounts, or you build automations with n8n, Blotato does more.
Pick Blotato if you repurpose long videos, podcasts, articles or PDFs into many kinds of posts across lots of accounts.
Pick TallyReel if your content is faceless video and you want the tool to make it, not only post it.
Blotato is an AI content engine with a scheduler built in. Point it at a YouTube link, a TikTok, an article, a PDF, an audio file or plain text, and it turns that into posts: written threads, carousels, infographics, quote cards, slideshows and AI-avatar videos with generated B-roll. It publishes natively to X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest, and it has an API, an MCP server and official n8n and Make nodes.
TallyReel overlaps on posting and differs on making. It turns one idea into a finished faceless video (script, voiceover, visuals, captions and music), in formats such as narrated stories, stick-figure and cartoon skits, comic stories, quizzes and AI host videos, then schedules it to 15 networks. This page compares both sides honestly, with Blotato prices checked on its pricing page on 2026-10-18.

Where Blotato is better
- Repurposing. Blotato turns a YouTube video, article, PDF or audio file into many kinds of posts. TallyReel starts from an idea or a script, not from content you already have.
- More kinds of post. Threads, carousels, infographics and quote cards are things TallyReel doesn't make; it makes videos.
- Automation for builders: a REST API, a hosted MCP server and official n8n and Make nodes, so it fits into workflows you already run.
- Engagement tools. It can reply to comments and DMs, which TallyReel doesn't do.
- Scale of accounts for agencies: 20 social accounts on Starter and 40 on Creator.
Where TallyReel is better
- Finished faceless videos from one idea, with a script you edit before anything renders, in formats Blotato doesn't list: skits, cartoons, comic stories, quizzes and AI hosts.
- More networks: 15, adding Reddit, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Tumblr and Google Business to the nine Blotato names.
- A lower start. There's a free plan, cloud plans from $19 a month, and posting alone is free for 1 channel and 10 posts a month.
- Long YouTube videos of 3 to 15 minutes with chapters, and series of up to 30 episodes.
- Native Hindi and Urdu, and 44 languages in all.

- You want a free start, a lower price, Hindi or Urdu, or more networks.

Two different jobs that meet at posting
Blotato is built for people who already have ideas or content and want it everywhere. A creator with a podcast, a founder with a newsletter or an agency with twenty clients can feed it a link and get a week of posts in many shapes. Its own description is close to that: point it at anything, get a post.
TallyReel is built for faceless video channels. You start with an idea for a video, get a script with a hook and a shot plan, edit it, and get a finished video with voiceover, stock footage or AI pictures, captions and music. Then it goes onto the schedule. If most of what you post is video you don't yet have, TallyReel does more of the work. If most of it is repurposed or written posts, Blotato does.
The posting side, compared honestly
Both post natively, from the server, to the networks that matter most for short video: TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Pinterest. Blotato adds recurring weekly slots per platform and account, a next-open-slot option, a calendar view, comment and DM replies, and an API. TallyReel adds six more networks (Reddit, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Tumblr and Google Business) and is cheaper if posting is all you need: the TallyReel free plan includes 10 scheduled posts a month.
Blotato is more of a full social tool, while TallyReel's posting exists to get its videos out. If you run many client accounts, need DMs handled, or wire posting into an n8n flow, Blotato's posting side is stronger. If you run a few channels and want videos to go out on time, TallyReel covers it.
- Blotato names 9 networks; TallyReel posts to 15.
- Blotato Starter allows 20 social accounts; TallyReel's free plan includes 10 scheduled posts a month.
- Blotato has an API and n8n nodes; TallyReel doesn't list an API.
What it costs
On 2026-10-18 Blotato's pricing page listed Starter at $29 a month with 1,250 AI credits and 20 social accounts, Creator at $97 with 5,000 credits and 40 accounts, and Agency at $499 with 28,000 credits. Every plan has a 7-day free trial. The FAQ says yearly billing saves about 17%, but yearly figures weren't shown, so we don't quote them.
TallyReel's free plan has 300 free credits once, about 3 videos up to 30 seconds with a small mark, and 10 scheduled posts a month. Starter is $19 a month for 4,000 credits (about 40 minutes of stock video or 19 of AI picture video), Plus $39 for 10,000 and Pro $79 for 22,000, with scheduling to 15 networks in every plan. Studio, opening 9 November, is a one-time $49 until 30 November, then $149, for unlimited videos on your own computer.
Credits don't compare one to one, because Blotato's pay for images, clips and voice across many post types, and TallyReel's pay for finished minutes of video. The fair comparison is your own week: count the videos you post and price both.
Where TallyReel falls short
TallyReel is in beta and only makes videos. It doesn't write threads, carousels or infographics, it doesn't repurpose links or PDFs, it doesn't reply to comments or DMs, and it doesn't offer an API or n8n node. Cloud video length is capped by plan (30 seconds on Free, 3 minutes on Starter, 5 on Plus, 15 on Pro). Studio needs an Apple silicon Mac or 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, and its installers aren't yet signed with paid certificates, so the first open asks you to confirm.
Questions
Is there a free Blotato alternative?
TallyReel has a free plan with 300 free credits once (about 3 videos) and 10 scheduled posts a month. Blotato offers a 7-day free trial, not a free plan, as checked on 2026-10-18.
Does TallyReel post to as many networks as Blotato?
More. TallyReel schedules to 15 networks; Blotato names 9. Both cover TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Pinterest.
Can TallyReel repurpose my YouTube videos like Blotato?
No. TallyReel makes new videos from an idea or a script you paste, and it can use your own photos and clips. It doesn't turn a link or a PDF into posts.
Does TallyReel work with n8n or have an API?
It doesn't list one. If you need posting inside an automation flow, Blotato's API, MCP server and n8n nodes are the better fit.
Which is cheaper?
For faceless video, TallyReel: free to start, then $19 a month with posting included. Blotato starts at $29 a month.
