Make the video from this

How to make one video fit every network

  1. Export at 1080 x 1920, 9:16, MP4 with H.264 and AAC, 30 frames a second.
  2. Keep it under 3 minutes if it should count as a Short and reach non-followers on Reels.
  3. Keep the file under 100 MB for Bluesky and Mastodon, and under 20 MB if you share it to Discord.
  4. Pick your file above to check it against all 15 networks at once.

Questions

What size should a vertical video be?

1080 x 1920 pixels, 9:16, as an MP4 with H.264 video and AAC sound at 30 frames a second. Every network on this page takes it.

How long can a YouTube Short be?

Up to 3 minutes, vertical or square. A longer vertical video posts as a regular YouTube video.

How long can an Instagram Reel be?

Apps that post for you can send Reels of 3 seconds to 15 minutes and up to 300 MB. Reels over 3 minutes are not recommended to people who do not follow you.

Which networks have the smallest limits?

By file size, Discord (20 MB), Telegram bots (50 MB), Google Business (75 MB), Mastodon (99 MB on mastodon.social) and Bluesky (100 MB). By length, Bluesky, Google Business.

Why do some limits differ from what the app allows?

Posting from another app goes through each network's developer tools, and those sometimes allow less than the network's own app. This table shows the limit that applies when a scheduler posts for you.

How current is this?

Every number was checked against the networks' own help pages and developer docs in October 2026. Rows marked Reported have no official number, so they use what most guides agree on.
