Stick figure skits are the simplest kind of animation to watch and the hardest to make by hand: every pose, every mouth movement and every pause before a punchline takes time. TallyReel's animated skits do that part for you. You give it a situation, it writes a short skit with the characters' lines and moves, gives each character a voice, and animates them on a set.
Skits are on the free plan with stick figures, and paid plans add drawn characters and your own. This page covers how a skit gets made, 36 skit ideas that work, two scripts written as dialogue, and the questions people ask first.

Script 1
The Lunch Thief
1
Sam: Where is my lunch? I labelled it. It said Sam.
2
Alex: Weird. Maybe the fridge ate it.
3
Sam: The fridge has crumbs on its shirt, Alex.
4
Alex: Those are decorative crumbs. Very fashionable right now.
5
Sam: Also, the fridge doesn't wear a shirt. You do. And yours has curry on it.
6
Sam: Tomorrow I'm labelling it with your name.
7
Alex: Then I would never eat it. That's stealing.
Script 2
Quick Question
1
Boss: Hey, quick question. Got a minute?
2
Riya: It's 5:59. I have exactly one minute.
3
Boss: Perfect. Can you redo the whole report by tomorrow?
4
Boss: It's only forty pages. And the charts. And maybe a summary for the client.
5
Riya: That's not a quick question. That's a new job.
6
Boss: Okay, okay. Just the cover page.
7
Riya: Done. I added your name. Goodnight.
How a skit gets made
Start an Animated skit in the TallyReel web app, or from the Skits tab in the Studio desktop app.
1. Describe the situation in one line, or paste your own skit.
2. Choose how many people are in it, the language, the tone and how it should end.
3. The AI writes the skit beat by beat: who speaks, what they say, how they move and what face they make.
4. Edit it in the script editor. Change the speaker, the move or the face on any beat, reorder lines, or ask for a rewrite.
5. Each character gets their own voice, read at a natural back-and-forth pace with a pause before the punchline.
6. The characters are animated on a set with props, and the finished skit is ready to download or post.
Writing a skit that lands
The best skits are one situation everyone has lived through, two characters who want different things, and a last line that flips it. Keep it under a minute. Cut every line that doesn't move toward the punchline, and let the second character react instead of explaining the joke.
Series work well: the same two characters in a new situation every day. Viewers come back for the characters, not just the joke. Stick figures keep it fast to make; drawn characters on the Cloud plan give a channel a look of its own.
What the plans include
Stick figure skits are on every plan, including Free. The Cloud plan adds drawn characters and your own characters. Skits can be made in English, Hindi, Urdu and the other languages TallyReel supports, and posted straight to your connected accounts.
Questions
Can AI make stick figure animations?
Yes. TallyReel writes a skit, voices each character and animates stick figures on a set, with poses, mouth movement and timing worked out for you.
Can I write my own skit?
Yes. Paste your own lines and TallyReel works out the moves and timing, or start from its draft and edit every beat in the script editor.
Is the stick figure maker free?
Stick figure skits are included on the free plan, within its video limits. Drawn characters and your own characters need the Cloud plan.
How long can a skit be?
Most skits are 15 to 60 seconds, which suits Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Short and tight is funnier.
Type the idea into TallyReel, read the script, and it makes the video for you: in the browser, on your phone, or in Studio on your own computer. Start on the free plan.
