Blotato vs Metricool
An AI content and automation engine against a scheduler built on analytics
Short answer: Pick Blotato if you want AI to create and repurpose content and you automate posting with n8n, Make or an API. Pick Metricool if you schedule content you already have and care most about analytics, competitors and a free plan.
Pick Blotato if you want AI to turn one piece of content into posts for every network.
Pick Metricool if you already have the content and want to schedule it and read the results.
Pick TallyReel if your content is faceless video and you want it written, made and posted from one idea.
Blotato and Metricool both publish to the major social networks, but they come from opposite directions. Blotato is an AI content engine with a scheduler: it turns a YouTube link, article, PDF or audio file into carousels, slideshows, infographics and AI-avatar videos, and it is built to be driven by automations through its API, official n8n and Make nodes, and MCP. Metricool is a scheduler and analytics suite: it plans and publishes posts, tracks competitors and ads, and reports on performance.
So the question is whether your bottleneck is making content or understanding how it performs. Here is what each pricing page said on October 18, 2026.

Pick Metricool if
- You already have the content and want to schedule it and read the results.
- You want competitor tracking and Facebook, Google and TikTok Ads reports.
- You want a free plan, or the cheapest paid plan at $20 a month yearly.

What a year costs
Blotato Starter is $29 a month, Creator is $97 and Agency is $499. Yearly billing saves about 17%, and every plan starts with a 7-day trial that includes all features except the API and a limited number of AI credits. There is no free plan. Starter includes 1,250 AI credits a month for images and videos, 20 social accounts and 1,000 active contacts for DMs and comment replies; Creator raises that to 5,000 credits, adds voice, and allows 40 accounts.
Metricool has a free plan for one brand with 20 scheduled posts a month. Starter is from $25 a month, or $20 billed yearly ($240 a year), for 5 brands; 10 brands is $45, or $36 yearly. Advanced is from $67, or $53 yearly, for 15 brands and adds team and client management.
For pure scheduling, Metricool is cheaper and has a free plan. Blotato's price includes AI generation, which Metricool doesn't offer, so the comparison is only fair if you would otherwise pay for a separate AI content tool.
Making content versus measuring it
Blotato's center is generation and automation. Point it at a YouTube video or an article and it drafts posts, carousels, slideshows and videos for each network, including AI-avatar videos with generated B-roll, and you can bring in clips from other AI video tools. Everything is callable from its API, n8n and Make nodes, and MCP, with scheduling in slots or at set times. Its analytics cover top posts and per-post metrics on eight platforms, everything except LinkedIn.
Metricool's center is planning and measuring. Its drag-and-drop calendar, inbox, SmartLinks and AI assistant cover publishing, and its analytics, competitor tracking and ads reporting go much deeper than Blotato's. It doesn't create images or videos for you.
Who each one suits

- Small business that wants a free scheduler with analytics: Metricool Free or Starter.
- Team that needs both: Blotato for creation, Metricool for reporting.
Where TallyReel fits, and where it doesn't
Metricool is the better scheduler and analytics tool, and Blotato is the better automation engine across many content types. TallyReel is narrower: it is for faceless video. You type one idea, it writes a script with a hook and planned shots, you approve it, and it builds the video with stock footage or AI pictures, voiceover in 44 languages, captions and music. It also makes stick-figure skits, comic stories and AI host videos with one or two lip-synced hosts. Every plan schedules to 15 networks, posting runs from the server, and Plus and Pro can run a series on autopilot without you building a workflow.
It doesn't make carousels or infographics, has no API or n8n nodes, doesn't repurpose your existing videos and has lighter analytics than either tool. Choose it when video is your main output and you want making and posting in one place.
