Make and post videos from your AI assistant

Connect once, then just ask: "Make a scary story short and schedule it for Friday."

Yes. TallyReel has a connector for AI assistants that support MCP connectors, like Claude and ChatGPT. You add it once with the link https://api.tallyreel.com/mcp and sign in to TallyReel. After that your assistant can make videos, schedule or post them, and read your results, using your own plan and credits.

Plans: Every plan, free included. Videos use credits exactly as they do in the app, and free accounts get the same choices as in the app.

Your AI assistant is good at ideas and words. TallyReel is good at turning them into finished videos and getting them posted. The connector joins the two: you talk to your assistant the way you already do, and it uses TallyReel to make the video, put it on your calendar and tell you how last week went.

It works with the same account you use in the app. Your plan, your credits, your connected accounts and your workspaces are all the same, and everything your assistant makes shows up in your Library and calendar.

How it works

  1. Copy the link. The connector's link is https://api.tallyreel.com/mcp.
  2. Add it to your assistant. In your assistant's settings, find Connectors (sometimes called Apps or Integrations) and add a custom connector with that link. The steps for each assistant are below.
  3. Sign in to TallyReel. Your assistant opens TallyReel's sign-in page. Sign in with the account you already use and allow access. You only do this once.
  4. Just ask. Try "What can you make with TallyReel?" or "Make a 30 second history short about Pompeii and save it as a draft for TikTok."

What people use it for

A week of videos in one message"Write five motivation scripts, make them as shorts with stock footage, and queue them on my TikTok and Instagram."
Turn a chat into a videoYou worked out an explainer with your assistant. Ask it to make that into a video with an AI host, in Urdu.
A Monday check-in"How did my posts do last week? Which one did best, and when should I post next?"
Answer comments"Show me the comments waiting for a reply and draft answers in my voice." Nothing is sent until you say so.

What your assistant can do

Make every kind of video TallyReel makes: stories and faceless videos with stock footage or AI pictures, top 10 countdowns, videos from your own photos, stick figure and cartoon skits, AI host videos with one or two presenters, quizzes, meme reels, ads for a brand or business, and whole series. It can also make a video again in other languages, redo or change scenes, and change the thumbnail.

Post and schedule: save drafts, add posts to your queue, schedule them for a time, change or delete them, and add them to playlists. Read your results, best times to post, Channel Brain, your video ideas and the comments waiting for you.

What stays in the app

A few things need you in TallyReel itself: connecting a social account, recording your cloned voice, and paying or changing your plan. Your assistant gives you the link when it needs one of these.

Posting to YouTube from an assistant is coming soon. Until then, your assistant can make the video and you post it to YouTube from TallyReel.

Claude

On claude.ai or the Claude app, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Name it TallyReel, paste https://api.tallyreel.com/mcp and add it. Then press Connect and sign in to TallyReel.

Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan. If you don't see the option, check Claude's help pages for your plan.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar, press Add, then Add custom MCP server. Name it TallyReel, paste https://api.tallyreel.com/mcp and save, then sign in to TallyReel when ChatGPT asks. It works on ChatGPT's free plan too.

ChatGPT moves this setting from time to time. If you can't find it, check ChatGPT's help pages for custom MCP servers.

Other assistants and tools

Any assistant or tool that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in (OAuth) can use the same link. It finds TallyReel's sign-in on its own.

In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http tallyreel https://api.tallyreel.com/mcp, then type /mcp and sign in to TallyReel.

Safety and your account

Your assistant only gets what the connector allows: making videos, posts, your Library, results, ideas and comments. It can't see or change your billing, your team or your account settings, and it can't delete your account.

Posts made by an assistant are saved as drafts or scheduled. They only go out straight away when you ask for that. Replies to comments are only sent when you say so.

To disconnect, remove TallyReel from your assistant's connectors. Signing out of TallyReel everywhere also ends its access.

Questions

Does it cost extra?

No. The connector is free. Videos use your credits exactly like they do in the app, and posting works on your plan as usual.

Which assistants work?

Claude and ChatGPT, and any other assistant that supports remote MCP connectors with sign-in.

Can my assistant post without asking me?

It saves drafts or schedules posts. It only publishes right away when you ask it to post now.

Can I use my own computer to make the videos?

Yes. If TallyReel Studio is running on your computer, ask your assistant to make the video on your computer and it is made there for free.

Where do the videos go?

Into your Library in TallyReel, like any video you make. You can open, edit or post them from the app too.

Pick one. Make it tonight.

Type the idea into TallyReel, read the script, and it makes the video for you: in the browser, on your phone, or in Studio on your own computer. Start on the free plan.
