How Arabic text becomes a TikTok
You can do this in the TallyReel web app from your phone or computer, or in the Studio desktop app.
1. Pick Arabic as the language and the vertical 9:16 shape.
2. Paste your Arabic text and choose to use it as your own script, or type a one-line idea and let the AI write it in Arabic.
3. The text is split into scenes, one or two sentences each. Edit any line before anything is made.
4. Pick the visuals: real stock footage, AI pictures in a look you choose, or your own photos and clips.
5. A natural Arabic voice, a man's or a woman's, reads it, and captions are set right to left in a Naskh typeface.
6. Post it to TikTok right away or schedule it with TallyReel, along with Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Writing Arabic that sounds good read aloud
Short lines read best. Keep each scene to one or two sentences and avoid long chains of clauses joined with و. Add the short vowel marks (tashkeel) only on words that could be read two ways, such as a name or a rare word, and write numbers and years as words if you want them read a certain way. Listen to the first scene before you make the whole video; if a word sounds off, change its spelling or swap it for a more common word.
Modern Standard Arabic reads most reliably. Light Gulf or Egyptian dialect in your pasted text can work, but test it first. On TikTok the first two seconds decide everything, so start with a surprise, a question or a strong claim, not a greeting. Keep most videos between 20 and 45 seconds, and end with a question so people answer in the comments.
TikTok is one of the biggest platforms in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, and the same vertical video works on Reels and Shorts. Post the same video on all three rather than making three versions, and on Plus and Pro you can remake a finished video in another language if part of your audience prefers English.
Questions
Can I turn Arabic text into a video for TikTok?
Yes. Paste your Arabic text, pick Arabic, and you get a 9:16 video with a natural Arabic voice, Arabic captions and a picture or clip for each line.
Do Arabic captions show correctly on TikTok?
Yes. The captions are burned into the video, right to left with the letters joined, so they look the same in any app.
Can I post the video to TikTok from TallyReel?
Yes. Post it straight away or schedule it with TallyReel, which also posts to Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and more.
Does it work with Gulf dialect?
Modern Standard Arabic reads most reliably. Light dialect can work if you paste it as your own text, but listen to the first scene before making the whole video.
Type the idea into TallyReel, read the script, and it makes the video for you: in the browser, on your phone, or in Studio on your own computer. Start on the free plan.
