How to Spot a Well-Made Garment
Before you pay for any piece of clothing, check these four things. It takes ten seconds.
First, the seams. Pull gently, and they should stay tight and even, with no gaps.
Second, hold the fabric up to the light. Very thin fabric wears out fast.
Third, the buttons. Well-made pieces sew them on firmly, and often include a spare.
Fourth, the pattern. On stripes and checks, the lines should meet at the seams.
Save this for your next shopping trip. Good clothes last longer than trends.
