Two hosts, one topic, a real back and forth

A podcast clip works because two people are reacting to each other. One asks, the other answers, someone pushes back, and the viewer feels like they are listening in. Making that without a studio, a co-host and a camera usually isn't possible. With two AI hosts it is: you give a topic, the AI writes the conversation, and both hosts say their lines with their lips moving to the voice.

Pick two of the six built-in hosts, or use your own. This page covers how a two-host video gets made, 36 episode ideas that suit a conversation, two scripts written as dialogue, and answers to the questions people ask before they try it.

The script behind the video above

Is 5am Worth It?

1

Maya: Waking up at 5am changed my life.

2

Sam: Mine too. I was tired every single afternoon for a month.

3

Maya: But the quiet hour! No messages, no noise, just you and a cup of tea.

4

Sam: The quiet is great. But if you still go to bed at midnight, 5am is just less sleep.

5

Maya: Fair. The trick is moving bedtime earlier, not only the alarm.

6

Sam: So the secret isn't 5am at all. It's one quiet hour that doesn't cost you sleep.

7

Maya: Fine, you win this one. Early bird or night owl? Tell us in the comments.

Why Songs Get Stuck in Your Head

1

Leo: Nora, why does one song play in my head all day?

2

Nora: It's called an earworm, and almost everyone gets them. Usually it's a short piece of a catchy song.

3

Leo: Why only a piece? I never get the whole thing.

4

Nora: That may be the point. Your brain seems to loop the bit it can't finish, like a tab left open.

5

Leo: So how do I close the tab?

6

Nora: Some people play the whole song once. In one small study, chewing gum helped too.

7

Leo: Gum. Science says gum. Which song is stuck in your head right now?

How a two-host video gets made

Two-host videos are made in the TallyReel web app. Pick AI host on Create and choose two different hosts.

Choosing the kind of conversation

A Podcast chat is two friends who know the topic, reacting and teasing a little. It suits light topics and lists. An Interview gives the first host the questions and the second the answers, stories and numbers, so it suits explainers where one voice is the expert. A Debate gives each host a side, and they find some common ground at the end. A Q&A has one host reading the questions viewers would ask and the other answering them.

The two hosts should sound different. Pick a man and a woman, or two voices with different accents, so viewers can follow who is talking even with the sound low. Captions help too, because a lot of people watch with the sound off.

What makes a conversation clip work

Start in the middle of the argument, not with hello and welcome. The first line should be a claim the second host will push back on. Keep each turn short, one or two sentences, and let the second host react before explaining. End on a question for the comments, which gives viewers a reason to reply.

For long videos on YouTube, a 10 or 15 minute conversation works as an episode, and you can cut shorter clips from the best moments for Shorts and Reels. Edit every script before you make it: a real point of view is what separates a show people follow from content that feels mass-produced.

Plans and length

AI host videos, with one host or two, come with any paid plan or credits. Length follows the plan: up to 3 minutes on Starter, 5 on Plus and 15 on Pro. A video uses 250 credits a minute.

Questions

Can AI make a podcast video with two people?

Yes. Pick two AI hosts and a topic, and the AI writes a conversation between them. Each host says their own lines with lips moving to the voice.

Can I use my own hosts?

Yes. Describe a made-up person or upload a character you own. Hosts are never made from photos of real people.

Can I edit what the hosts say?

Yes. The whole conversation is written first so you can read it, change any line, swap who says it, add or remove lines, or have it written again before anything is made.

How long can an AI podcast video be?

From 1 to 15 minutes. Starter goes up to 3 minutes, Plus up to 5 and Pro up to 15.

Can it turn my own audio podcast into a video?

Not at the moment. The hosts read a script written in the app. You can change every line of it, add your own lines and remove the ones you don't want.

Pick one. Make it tonight.

Type the idea into TallyReel, read the script, and it makes the video for you: in the browser, on your phone, or in Studio on your own computer. Start on the free plan.
