The Cloud Who Couldn't Reach the Moon
A tiny blue droplet stuck to the little cloud's nose, and he couldn't reach the Moon.
He shook his wings hard, but the drop only slid down and made him shiver worse.
He kicked his feet against the dark sky, but the drop was too heavy to lift him up.
He tried to float up to the Moon, but the drop pulled him back down to the cold stars.
A silver teacup floated nearby, filled with warm, dreamy mist that looked too inviting to ignore.
Please make me warm, the little cloud whispered to the Moon.
The Moon tipped the cup, and the warm mist poured over the little cloud with a gentle splash.
The cold drop melted into the warm mist and turned into a soft, sleepy droplet.
The droplet slid down and landed gently on the Moon's sleeping cheek, like a sweet kiss.
The little cloud felt cozy and heavy, and his wings stopped wobbling in the quiet air.
Now the sky is quiet, and the little cloud can sleep, all warm and safe.
