Schedule Telegram channel posts with your own bot

Telegram channels are one of the few places your followers actually get notified. TallyReel posts to your channel through a bot you create and control, so nothing about your Telegram account is shared with us.

When to post

Best time to post on Telegram

Telegram subscribers receive a notification for each post, so timing is about respect as much as reach: avoid late nights in your audience’s timezone, and space posts out rather than sending five in a row.

TallyReel starts every account from the same baseline, weekday peaks at 8 AM, 12 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM, weekend peaks at 10 AM, 11 AM, 7 PM, 8 PM, in your audience’s local time, and after about 20 published posts shifts it toward the hours that actually work for you.

Write it well

Telegram posts that land

  • Channels reward concise posts with a clear link. Captions on media are limited to 1024 characters.
  • When a post has media, the text becomes a caption and Telegram caps it at 1,024 characters. TallyReel switches the counter automatically when you attach media.
  • One clear link per post works better than several.
  • Your bot token is stored encrypted and only used to send the posts you schedule.

Telegram scheduling FAQ

Why do I need my own bot?

Telegram only lets bots, not third-party apps, post to channels. Using your own bot means you stay in control: remove it from the channel and TallyReel can no longer post.

Can I post to a private channel?

Yes. Use the channel’s numeric id (it starts with -100) instead of an @username.

What’s the character limit on Telegram?

4,096 characters for a text message, and 1,024 for the caption on a photo or video. TallyReel’s counter switches between them automatically.

Is Telegram scheduling free?

Yes, every feature and every network is free while TallyReel is in beta, with no card required. Beta users will get plenty of notice before paid plans start.
