TallyReel is a desktop app that makes faceless videos on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Type one idea and it writes a script with a hook and planned shots. You edit it or paste your own, and once you approve, your PC builds the video: voiceover, footage, captions and music.

How long things take on Windows
Honest numbers matter more than a nice demo. On Windows, writing the script on your own PC takes 1 to 3 minutes, depending on your hardware. That's the step where a local AI model does the thinking, and it's the slowest part on most PCs.
If that's too slow for you, there's a simple option: add your own AI key from Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek or OpenRouter, and the script is written by that service instead. It bills you directly, usually a few cents a video. You can also point TallyReel at Ollama or LM Studio if you already run models there.
Nothing renders until you approve the script, so you're never waiting on a video you didn't want.

What stays on your PC
The script (when written locally), the voiceover and the final video are made on your PC, and your own photos and clips are read from a media folder there. Nothing has to be uploaded to make a video.
Three things do go online. Stock footage search terms go to Pexels. If you use your own AI key, your idea and script go to that service. And if you schedule posts with the included TallyReel Post Pro, which posts to 15 networks, the videos you schedule go to the server so they can post while your PC is off.
The first time you open it
TallyReel's installer isn't signed with Microsoft's paid certificate yet, so Windows asks you to confirm the first time you run it. Confirm once and it opens normally after that.
